Q. How do I know which print paper to buy a print of?
Glossy photos are the most commonly used photo paper. It's glossy, reflects in light, and can be sensitive to fingerprints. It will often have the most vibrant and crisp details.
Luster photos are a step down from glossy photos and tend to have a small difference in terms of quality. They are less susceptible to glare and fingerprints.
Matte photos have no glare or chance of leaving fingerprint residue at the cost of color detail, leaving behind diluted less contrasted prints.
Metal finish prints (not in stock) will have the one of the most detail and color detail compared to most papers. Also one of the more pricier photo paper types.
Velvet Fine Art Paper (not in stock) has vibrant colors and amazing detail that creates archival museum quality prints. Another more pricier photo paper.
Alena Lore
Photographer
Having started as a hobby, Alena Lore, also known as Cadinth, sought out photography as a way to capture moments in life that are "picture perfect". As a way to share a look through her lens, this shop was started. Without prior skills, knowledge or training, these pictures were taken just out of love for the beauty of things. Having started photography on an early "smart phone" in 2007, moving on to an average digital camera, then continuing on with photography on more smart phones and even dabbling in film, she has finally taken a step to DSLR photography.
